When in doubt, just keep in mind that the verb agrees with the nearest subjects. The inclusive nouns should also be considered. Many committed a mistake on this because the subjects sound plural, but they actually use singular verbs. Some of the most common used inclusive nouns are the word anybody, nobody, each, either, neither, everybody and somebody.
